Welcome back folks, quite a lot has been happening since the site went down. Not least of which the band has been in the recording studio. Featuring nine self-penned songs, a new cd will be available from gigs now and online at a later date.

Also available is a photographic record of the past year in the life of the Poorboys. This booklet

is the work of our friend, photographer Jason Warnes. With the assistance of honorary "Poorgirl" Yvonne Rutherford, this publication illustrates the band and friends on and off stage.

To add to the comment below, Rick has chosen "She moves like water" as his Americana song of the year. Thank you Rick.

Just had a note from Ally Lee of www.lionheartradio.com fame. An American compatriot of his has added "She moves like water" to his playlist on his Blues/Rock radio show. The chap in question is Rick Galusha, he can be found here - http://www.897theriver.com/blues.asp  CHEERS Rick.

In light of the terrible events in Haiti, an event has been organized to raise cash for aid. This event takes place at 7p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4th at the Cluny, Newcastle.

Four local bands are set to perform, these are:

and ourselves, the POORBOYS. All tickets are £5 and are available from the Cluny.

I (Bob) have the pleasure of playing alongside one of Britain's best blues guitarists this week. Mr. Johnny Whitehill will be performing at Bubbles in Ashington 9p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28th.

A very encouraging review of our CD here:

Well, a little bit of news here. We have decided to go under a different name to record and perform our original music. The new name will be.....wait for it..........Indian Hill.

We will continue to be the Poorboys when we play as a covers band. I hope there is no confusion. :-)

July 30th 2010, we will be performing all the songs from the cd and some new stuff at The Magnesia Bank, North Shields. The show will be recorded live and made available at a later date. There will also be a cover charge. Hope to see all of you there.
